Icefield Helicopter Tour - Amazing!
My boyfriend and I were going down to Lake Louise for the night so I thought, why not take the opportunity to stop in and see Ralph at Icefield Helicopter Tours and take my first helicopter ride!

Us after the first ride, where we snowshoed along the river to a beautiful frozen waterfall.

The view to the left as we flew over Cline Glacier.

Abraham Lake

That's me in the front seat!
Video:
We took about the 20 minute Cline Glacier Tour with a one hour Snowshoe Stop. This video is along the North Saskatchewan river back to the Cline Heliport. (Cline River Heliport is on Highway 11 - 42 kms from Saskatchewan Crossing at the Icefields Parkway. About a 2 hour drive from Jasper and just over 1 hour from Lake Louise) Amazing!

UK visitor raves about Jasper
Check out a lovely email we recieved from Lindsay Smith who won a trip to Jasper from the UK!
Hello All,
I just wanted to take this opportunity (now I have recovered from my jet lag) to thank you for the most fantastic holiday we recently spent in Jasper. As winners of the Metro competition we were treated to:
Flights through Canadian Affair on Thomas Cook Airlines - thanks to Monisha and the helpful cabin crew on Thomas Cook
Airlines Transfers with Sundog tours - private transfers for 5 hour amazing journey on the Icefield Parkway - can't be bad! www.sundogtours.com
Accomocation at the (Best Western) Jasper Inn - fantastic accomodation and great hot tub. www.jasperinn.com
Marmot Basin ski lift tickets - despite the cold we made great use of our lift passes. Just the place to perfect my parallel turns. (Thanks also to the great bus drivers who were so friendly and helpful). www.skiingjasper.com
Papa George's Restaurant - what a lovely meal and very attentive staff who could not do enough to help. (My first taste of Elk) www.astoriahotel.com
In fact our first experience of Canada raised the question, 'Why did we not come before?' Having met the friendliest locals who were genuinely interested in where we were from, where we had skiied etc and experienced scenery which was truly 'awesome' in the literal sense, I cannot wait to return. We are already planning a trip to Nova Scotia next summer and would love to bring our teenage children to Jasper to ski - our son is a prime candidate for the Ski Instructor School! (Canadian Rockies Ski Academy) http://canadianrockiesacademy.com
Thank you very much again.
Best Regards

Snow Train to Jasper!
How exciting!!! I got my very first comment on my blog! Thank you Toronto Corporate Housing, whoever you are!
And I am even more thankful to you for bringing up Jasper's very own Snowtrain! So this is my subject today. The Snowtrain to Jasper is a weekend train service that runs in the winter (ends in Mid-April this year). It leaves Edmonton at 4 pm on Friday and arrives in Jasper at about 10 pm. Then, it departs Jasper at 4 pm on Sunday.
It is such a relaxing, convenient and unique way to get to Jasper for your ski weekend!Jasper is, in fact, one of the only ski destinations in North America that offers this type of service.
So check it out today at: http://www.snowtraintojasper.com

Great Coverage on Jasper
A great story on Jasper by Peter Wilson at the Saskatoon Star Phoenix after his visit last winter was picked up in Newspapers all across Canada. Take a peek!
